What is collected

From businesses listed in the directory:

• business name, and the name of the owner or contact
• contact details: phone, email, WhatsApp
• description, categories and trades
• website, photos and opening hours
• address, which is private by default and published only on a deliberate, recorded decision

From members who sign up for communications:

• name
• email address
• phone number

Automatically, when the portal is used:

• browser and device type
• IP address
• cookies

How information is used

• to display and maintain business listings
• to verify that a listing is accurate and current
• to send community announcements and directory updates
• to answer questions and provide support
• to operate future community services offered through this portal

Addresses are private unless published deliberately

A street address is not published by default. Home-based businesses and businesses seen by appointment only cannot have an address published automatically at all. Making any address public is a separate, deliberate act by an authorised person, it names what is about to become public before it saves, and every such change is recorded.

Community communications

By taking part in this portal you may receive communications from KehilaLink Demo relating to community services. These may include:

• community announcements
• business directory updates
• email newsletters
• SMS notifications
• automated phone messages
• event information
• community service updates

Communication preferences may be updated where that option is available. Messages required to operate a listing, a verification request, a reply to something you submitted, may continue after you opt out of optional communications.

Marketing email is only ever sent to an address that gave consent, and the consent is recorded with the address. No consent record, no email.

Cross-community visibility

KehilaLink allows participating communities to share approved public business listings with other participating communities. Whether any information is shared beyond this portal is determined by KehilaLink Demo.

Only information already intended for public display is ever eligible. A private address, an internal note or a contact detail marked private is never shared, whatever the visibility setting.

Community authority

KehilaLink Demo decides:

• which businesses are approved
• what information is published
• which community services are available
• whether listings may appear outside this portal
• what communications are sent to members

KehilaLink provides the platform and does not manage the day-to-day operation of individual communities.
